The Constitutional Walking Tour

By taking The Constitutional Walking Tour of Philadelphia, students will embark on a 75 minute walking adventure through America's Birthplace that provides a primary overview of Independence Park featuring more than 20 of the most historic sites including the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, National Constitution Center, Betsy Ross House, Declaration House, Carpenters' Hall and Franklin Court.  According to the Chicago Tribune,

"No visit to Philadelphia is complete without taking a Constitutional Guided Walking Tour, a 75-minute, mile and a quarter stroll that puts 20 historic sites, from Independence Hall to the National Constitution Center, and Ben Franklin, in perspective."

Museum of the American Revolution

By visiting the Museum of the American Revolution, students in Grades 4 – 12 will:

• Learn about the primary causes of the American Revolution and the major events of the war
• Follow the stories of Revolutionary War era soldiers, sailors, civilians, women, children, free and enslaved African Americans, Loyalists, and Revolutionaries
• Witness authentic Revolutionary weapons and equipment and experience immersive environments, tableau with life-sized figures, and first and third person interpretation
• Stand beneath a full-scale replica of the Boston Liberty Tree and discuss Revolutionary ideals
• Climb aboard a privateer ship and learn about how the war was fought on both land and sea
• Experience the 12-minute Washington's War Tent film that brings to life General Washington's extraordinary leadership and reveals the tent that was his field headquarters

Visiting the Museum of the American Revolution takes about 1.5-2 hours.
